This structure on Midland Trail has served as a tavern, stagecoach inn, and home since it was built in the early 1800s. It was erected from stone quarried nearby and is the oldest stone residence in Shelby County still standing and occupied. It operated as an early tavern, and among its owners was Fleming P. Rogers from 1817 to 1827. After serving as a private home for many years, Old Stone Inn opened as a restaurant in 1922.
