Built in 1909 under the leadership of Mayor Josiah Kirby, this building originally housed the Wyoming Fire Department. After an expansion in 1919, the Wyoming Police Department and City Council moved in, and it became known as the Municipal Building. The council and police relocated in 1956, while the fire department remained and was joined by the Wyoming Board of Education. By 1985, all occupants had left, and the building was sold to a private owner and converted into restaurant and banquet space. Though remodeled over the years, it still shows its legacy as one of Wyoming's first public buildings: during its time as a fire station, bells alerted volunteer firefighters to emergency calls, the bell tower was used to hang fire hoses out to dry, and the old firetruck bays, long since bricked in, remain visible on the west wall.
