Bell Mountain is a major summit in Idaho’s Lemhi Range, reaching 11,612 feet above sea level. It is the range’s second-highest peak, the 37th highest in Idaho, and the highest point in Lemhi County. The mountain stands just north of the Butte County line and lies on the boundary between Caribou-Targhee National Forest and Salmon-Challis National Forest, northwest of Diamond Peak. Named after Robert Norman Bell, it is notable for both its elevation and prominence within east-central Idaho’s landscape.
