Clark County Wetlands Park occupies a long stretch of the Las Vegas Wash on the east side of the Las Vegas Valley and is the largest park in the Clark County system. Built as both a public park and an environmental management project, it uses constructed wetlands, dams, weirs, and ponds to slow runoff, trap silt, reduce erosion, and improve water quality before water continues toward Lake Mead. Native plants and reused construction material stabilize the wash, while vegetation helps remove pollutants and create habitat. The park also serves education through exhibits, a nature center, and walking paths that connect visitors to this restored landscape.
