Nathaniel Brock and Sarah Eaton Brock were pioneers of the Yadkin. Nathaniel Brock, a farmer, preacher, woodman, and soldier under Col. Thomas Elliot in the 4th Va. Reg., lived and learned theology in Davie County from 1785 to 1818. The couple came from Va. in 1785, and their remains are interred one mile S.W. in a family graveyard.
