Sandalee Glacier is a mountain glacier in Washington’s North Cascades National Park and Lake Chelan National Recreation Area, occupying several cirques on the north and east slopes of McGregor Mountain. It stretches nearly 1.5 miles from about 7,800 to 6,800 feet above sea level. Measured at 2 square kilometers in 1993, it was a substantial glacier by North Cascades standards. It is also part of the National Park Service glacier monitoring project, whose records show that from 1993 to 2013 the glacier lost about 6 meters of thickness, reflecting broader changes affecting glaciers in the North Cascades.
