Built by the Town of Cedarburg after neighboring farmers petitioned for a replacement for bridges that were periodically washed out, this bridge used pine logs cut and milled at Baraboo and assembled in lattice truss construction with three by ten inch planks secured by two inch hardwood pins, eliminating the use of nails or bolts, and a floor of three inch planking. In 1940, the Ozaukee County Board voted to assume its preservation and maintenance.
