Lake Towhee Park is a five hundred forty-nine-acre county park in northern Bucks County, Pennsylvania, centered on the fifty-acre Lake Towhee, which was created by a dam on Kimples Creek. The park offers picnicking, a playground, a ball field, hiking, fishing, sightseeing, and group and individual camping, with rentable roofed pavilions but no swimming in the lake. Wildlife is a major attraction, with beaver, raccoon, mink, deer, and many birds drawing photographers and nature watchers. The lake has also faced ecological strain from invasive water chestnuts, prompting volunteer removal efforts, while summer lily pads alter the lake’s appearance and fishing conditions.
