Cottle Knob is a mountain summit in West Virginia that rises 3,031 feet and ranks as the state's 348th highest summit. It was named for C. W. Cottle, who is remembered as a pioneer hunter. Although little else is recorded here about the summit, it represents one of West Virginia’s many named high points, linking the state’s rugged landscape with people associated with its early settlement.
