Bath County honored those of its sons who made the supreme sacrifice in the Great World War, World War II, Korea, and Vietnam so that liberty and justice might not perish from the earth, naming the dead of 1917–1919, 1941–1946, 1950–1953, and 1964–1975, and invoking the words, “For with such sacrifices God is well pleased” from Hebrews 13:16.
