Zook's Mill Covered Bridge carries a road over Cocalico Creek west of Brownstown, Pennsylvania, and is also known as the Cocalico #7, Wenger, and Rose Hill bridge. Built in 1849 by Henry Zook for $700, it is a single-span wooden Burr arch truss with steel hanger rods, oak plank decking, and the traditional Lancaster County red-and-white appearance. Measuring 74 feet across the span and 89 feet overall, it is a preserved example of 19th-century bridge building. It also survived the devastating 1972 flooding from Hurricane Agnes, which destroyed many other county bridges, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.
