During World War I, from 1917 to 1919, men and women from Fair Haven served their country on land and sea. Christopher Doughty and Walter Grover were killed in action, and Charles Burdge and Chester Berry died in the service. Those who served also included Myron Morson, Oliver J. Balch, L.
