Citizens of Roscommon County re-dedicated a monument on behalf of a grateful nation to the memory, sacrifice, and dedication of county men and women who honorably and faithfully served in the United States military from 1913 to 2013. Marking the 100th anniversary of World War I, known as the war to end all wars, local veterans organizations and citizens gathered in a solemn ceremony at the Roscommon County Courthouse on Sunday, 11 November 2018, at 1100 hours to humbly remember, honor, and dignify the sacrifice of the nation’s service men and women and the families who served during World War I.
