Ralph Stover State Park is a 45-acre Pennsylvania park on Tohickon Creek near Point Pleasant, known especially for whitewater kayaking and for rock climbing at High Rocks, a sheer cliff about 200 feet high. The area also preserves older history: the Lenape named the creek, and in the 18th century Ralph Stover built a gristmill here, with remnants of the mill and race still visible. The Stover family gave the land to Pennsylvania in 1931, Depression-era facilities were added through the Works Progress Administration, and James A. Michener’s 1956 donation of High Rocks helped shape the park’s modern form. Fishing, hiking, and scenic views add to its appeal.
