Angeline Falls is a large perennial horsetail waterfall in Washington’s Alpine Lakes Wilderness, on an unnamed tributary of the West Fork Foss River. It drops from the outlet of Angeline Lake toward the head of Delta Lake in a steep landscape of cliffs and lakes. About 450 feet high and more than 120 feet wide, it is especially striking because the water emerges where the subterranean outlet of Angeline Lake rises from a sheer cliff before pouring into the basin below. Widely regarded as one of Washington’s standout waterfalls, it is also notably difficult to reach, with the best view requiring a challenging approach suited only to experienced hikers.
