Silver Eagle Peak is a 6,241-foot mountain in Washington’s Cascade Range within the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, southeast of Skykomish. Set on the divide between the east and west forks of the Foss River in the Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest, it rises in rugged, glaciated country marked by deep valleys, granite walls, sharp ridges, and cirques, including Bald Eagle Lake between it and nearby Bald Eagle Peak. Hermann Ulrichs and three companions made the first recorded ascent in 1934. The name was officially adopted in 1988, after some older maps had mislabeled the summit as Bald Eagle Peak. Its marine west coast climate brings heavy winter precipitation and clearer summers.
