Wall Arch was a natural sandstone arch in the Devils Garden area of Arches National Park in southeastern Utah. Formed in Entrada Sandstone’s Slick Rock member, it was first reported and named in 1948 by Lewis T. McKinney. Before collapsing in 2008, it ranked twelfth in size among the park’s more than two thousand arches, with an opening about seventy-one feet wide and thirty-three and a half feet high. The collapse occurred between the night of August 4 and the morning of August 5, temporarily blocking Devils Garden Trail. Its loss drew notice as the park’s first major arch collapse since pieces of Landscape Arch fell in 1991.
