Piney Creek Wilderness is an 8,122-acre protected area in southern Missouri, east of Cassville in the Mark Twain National Forest. Named for Piney Creek, which runs through the area to the James River arm of Table Rock Lake, it was designated wilderness by the United States Congress in 1980 and is one of eight such areas preserved within the forest. In the Ava-Cassville-Willow Springs Ranger District, it is managed as a backcountry landscape focused on the creek corridor. Its trail system includes a main east-west route along Piney Creek, shorter north-to-creek paths, and additional foot and horse trails, some following old roads.
