Mount Woolsey is a prominent summit in Wyoming’s Bighorn Mountains within the Cloud Peak Wilderness, ranking as the range’s third-highest peak. It stands on a narrow arête linking Cloud Peak and Black Tooth Mountain, with The Innominate along the same ridge and a small glacier below its southeast side, giving it a sharply sculpted alpine character. The first recorded ascent was made by W. B. Willcox, Alan Willcox, Mary Willcox, and T. H. Rawles via the south ridge. Formally approved in 1961, the name honors Theodore Salisbury Woolsey Jr., whose death shortly before the climb touched the party through his daughter Elizabeth Woolsey.
