The CAF Utah Wing Museum at Heber City Municipal Airport connects major twentieth-century U.S. military air wars to local Utah people through exhibits, artifacts, and flying historic aircraft. Its displays preserve the stories of figures such as airport founder Russ McDonald, several B-17 pilots, fighter pilot Emmett “Cyclone” Davis, glider pilot Burnis Watts, and former prisoner of war Herbert Rostoff. A restored Boeing-Stearman trainer, built for Navy flight training in 1943, became one of its best-known aircraft after military service, civilian use, a crash, and long restoration work. A T-6 Texan trainer also remains active, reinforcing the museum’s blend of static interpretation and living aviation heritage.
