Waterfalls Canyon in Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park is a glacially carved canyon opening on the western shore of Jackson Lake, opposite Colter Bay Village, between Ranger Peak and Eagles Rest Peak. It formed when glaciers retreated at the end of the Last Glacial Maximum about 15,000 years ago, leaving a broad U-shaped valley. The canyon is especially known for the cascades that inspired its name, including Wilderness Falls and Columbine Cascade, which flow from an unnamed lake below Ranger Peak.
