Mount Silverheels is a prominent 13,829-foot peak in Colorado’s Front Range, rising in Pike National Forest about 4.9 miles northeast of Alma. Classified as a thirteener, it stands just east of Mount Bross and Mount Lincoln and forms part of the high mountain landscape above South Park. Its great elevation and exposed position create an alpine subarctic climate marked by cold, snowy winters, cool to warm summers, year-round precipitation, and frequent summer thunderstorms, with a drier period in late spring. As a recognizable central Colorado summit, it holds an important place among the region’s clustered high peaks.
