THE STORY

Hoosier Pass crosses the Continental Divide between South Park and the Blue River at an altitude of 11,542 feet. It was crossed by Fremont in 1844 and was named for Hoosier Gulch, discovered and worked as a placer camp by Indiana men in 1860.
