Lacamas Prairie Natural Area is a protected prairie in Washington that preserves part of the Willamette Valley wet prairie ecosystem across 211 acres, bordered by Oregon white oak and Oregon ash forests. Established in 2007 after acquisition by the Washington Department of Natural Resources, it is part of a broader effort to conserve 1,622 acres in the area, alongside nearby lands protected by Clark County and Columbia Land Trust. The prairie is especially important for rare and sensitive plants, including one of the largest known populations of endangered Bradshaw’s lomatium and Washington’s only known population of tall western penstemon. Prescribed burns help sustain the prairie and control invasive species.
