Lewis and Clark State Recreation Site is an Oregon state park on the Sandy River near its confluence with the Columbia between Troutdale and Corbett, within the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area. Broughton’s Bluff at the site marks the westernmost extent of the gorge. The park is designed for day use and outdoor recreation, with picnic areas, a pet exercise area, swimming access, a boat ramp, and trails leading to rock-climbing areas on the bluff. Its historical significance comes from the Lewis and Clark Expedition, which explored this area along the Sandy and Columbia rivers, connecting the site to the region’s early recorded exploration.
