On Page Road in Dublin, New Hampshire, this historic property brings together the remains of one of the town’s earliest industrial sites and an early nineteenth-century farmstead on land beside Stanley Brook. Around 1768, Samuel Twitchell, identified as Dublin’s second settler, built a sawmill here that operated until the mid-nineteenth century, leaving surviving foundations. Around 1812, Samuel Moore added a Cape-style farmhouse and barn. After William and Katherine Mitchell Jackson bought the property in 1935, they moved, restored, and enlarged the house, with further renovation in 1951. The site preserves intertwined stories of early settlement, water-powered industry, and the changing New England farm.
