Cass County Courthouse at 346 Main Street was built in 1891 in the Romanesque style. The architect was William Gray, and the contractor was O.J. King. Its 135 foot clock tower contains a Seth Thomas clock. The first story is composed of Bayfield Brownstone, and the second and third stories are Kansas City pressed brick with Terra Cotta trim. It was dedicated in 1892 and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior in 1985.
