Moomaw Glacier
Nature
Moomaw Glacier is an alpine glacier in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, located nearly one mile northeast of Isolation Peak in the park’s high country. A notable feature of the glacier is its old terminal moraine, which impounds Frigid Lake. It is one of the park’s small group of high-elevation ice bodies and persists as a compact remnant within a rugged mountain landscape, illustrating the glacial character of this alpine environment.
