Mount Alice is a 13,315-foot peak in the northern Front Range of the Rocky Mountains, in the Rocky Mountain National Park Wilderness of Colorado near the Continental Divide southwest of Estes Park. One of Colorado’s thirteeners, it rises above the park’s Wild Basin and is chiefly known today as a backcountry climbing objective. Climbers commonly reach the summit by class 3 routes along Hourglass Ridge above Lion Lakes or by Boulder-Grand Pass above Thunder Lake, both involving sustained scrambling but no technical climbing. The mountain was recorded as Mount Alice by 1911, was also historically called Sioux Mountain, and the origin of its present name remains uncertain.
