Eldridge Park includes a butterfly garden and areas where visitors can learn about butterflies, birds in the surrounding area, and mammals that live in the park. Before becoming a park, the land was swampy and unusable and served as a landfill. The park covers 42.79 acres and was named after Edward Eldridge, an early homesteader and the first supervisor of York Township.
