Next Level Pinball Museum in Hillsboro, Oregon, near the Hillsboro Airport, opened in 2017 as a museum and arcade centered on a large playable collection from Fred Carlson and his family. Its holdings include about 400 pinball and arcade machines, along with more than 3,000 items from Carlson’s lunchbox collection. In March 2024, it expanded by another 7,000 square feet and added 150 games, broadening both its size and displays. The games are set to free play instead of coin operation, making it a notable Hillsboro attraction that brings together playable arcade history, a private collection, and pop-culture memorabilia.
