Greene County, Indiana, dedicated a war memorial to veterans of the county who served honorably in the armed forces of the United States and in honored memory of those who gave their lives in service to the country. Its panels include an engraving of the Liberty Bell and the seals of the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, and U.S. Coast Guard. It records county service members who died in World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, and Iraq / Operation Enduring Freedom, and it bears the words, “DUTY ** HONOR ** COUNTRY” and “When you leave this place, go tell them of us and say for your Tomorrow.
