Encampment River Wilderness is a protected area in south-central Wyoming within Medicine Bow National Forest, created to provide stronger protection for the Encampment River and the canyon it has carved. Recreation is allowed in limited forms: camping and fishing with the proper permit, and hunting in season. Resource extraction is barred, with logging and mining prohibited.
