In New Baltimore, Pennsylvania, the New Baltimore Veterans Memorial honors those who served from the community across the Civil War, World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War, and Iraq, and also recognizes Gold Star Mothers. It was designed and built by Thomas J. Werner, a World War II veteran and Merrill's Marauders survivor, and was dedicated on May 25, 1992. The memorial records the names of those who served in each conflict and includes distinctions for those killed in action, wounded in action, and lost at sea.
