North Moat Mountain in Carroll County, New Hampshire, rises just north of Middle Moat Mountain and east of Big Attitash Mountain. It belongs to the upper Saco River watershed, linking it to a larger drainage system that ultimately reaches the Gulf of Maine at Saco, Maine. Water from the mountain’s northwest slope flows into Lucy Brook, its east side into Moat Brook, and its southwest side into Deer Brook. Deer Brook then runs to the Swift River before joining the Saco, placing the mountain within an interconnected network of streams and rivers.
