Braxon Peak
Nature
Braxon Peak is a 10,353-foot mountain in Idaho’s Sawtooth Range, within the Sawtooth Wilderness of the Sawtooth National Recreation Area. On the border of Boise and Custer counties, it rises in a rugged alpine landscape of sharp summits and lakes. The peak stands just south of Mount Cramer, its line parent, and south-southwest of Mount Heyburn. Nearby Braxon Lake contributes to the striking combination of prominent peaks and glacial lake scenery that defines this part of the range.
