On May 4, 2007, an EF5 tornado nearly 2 miles wide destroyed 95 percent of Greensburg’s homes and businesses. After this devastating storm, the community embraced sustainable design to create a better, greener future that could serve as a model for other communities, and Greensburg City Hall stands as a tribute to that belief.
