East End is a mountain at the northeastern end of the McDowell Mountains, about twenty-four miles north-northeast of Scottsdale, Arizona. Rising to four thousand sixty-nine feet, it is the highest point in the range. Its slopes and summit are largely covered with rocky boulders, giving it a rugged desert character. East End is also significant as the site of the ancient Marcus Landslide, a geologic feature that reflects the mountain’s long natural history.
