Alsea Bay Historic Interpretive Center in Waldport, Oregon, stands beside the Alsea Bay Bridge and grew out of the bridge replacement project, having been built by the Oregon Department of Transportation and transferred to the city on October 8, 2020. The public facility focuses on the history of bridge building in Oregon as well as local transportation and Native American history. Its location next to the bridge connects its exhibits to the surrounding landscape and to the engineering work that brought the building into being.
