Clyde Holliday State Recreation Site is an Oregon state park near Mount Vernon, in a wooded stretch along the John Day River about eight miles west of John Day and between the river and U.S. Route 26. Managed by the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department, it is designed for seasonal camping from March 1 through November 30. The park offers tent sites, primitive campsites, tepees, and RV spaces, along with electric hookups, hot showers, flush toilets, and an RV dump station. Visitors also use the site for fishing, wildlife watching, picnicking, horseshoes, music, and interpretive programs at its outdoor amphitheater.
