First licensed in 1763, Bogart's Tavern became the headquarters of the Committee of Observation and Inspection, which organized the revolutionary movement in Bucks County in 1775 and 1776. It was also the site where the county's first military organizations of the Revolution mustered in 1775, and it served as General Nathanael Greene's headquarters in 1776.
