Antimony Peak is a steep quartz diorite mountain in the San Emigdio Mountains of California’s Transverse Ranges in southern Kern County, on land administered by Los Padres National Forest. Surveyor W. P. Blake named it in 1854 during the Pacific Railroad surveys after identifying a suspected silver ore vein on the mountain as the metalloid antimony. The summit is the taller of two peaks with that name in Kern County. California has one other Antimony Peak, in the Diablo Range on the San Benito and Merced county line, and no other mountains in the United States share the name.
