Massillon honors the living and the dead whose valiant efforts and bitter sacrifice made America great, and dedicates this shrine with the hope that the liberty of mankind, won by brave souls and guarded by vigilance, will live on for all ages to come. It also dedicates this memorial with solemn pride and gratitude to Massillon men and women who made the supreme sacrifice in World War II and World War I, naming those dead from both wars.
