Browns River Covered Bridge, also called the Westford Covered Bridge, is a historic Burr arch timber bridge in Westford, Vermont, spanning the Browns River near State Route 128. Its builder is unknown. After it was closed to vehicles in the 1960s and replaced for road use by a nearby concrete bridge, repairs in 1976 by the Vermont Naval Reserve and local volunteers did not stop its decline, and it was later closed to pedestrians as well. A major restoration began in 1987 under Graton Associates and was filmed by National Geographic for a program about bridge restorer Milton Graton. Rededicated in 2001, it survives as a preserved historic crossing closed to motor traffic.
