Gates Farm Covered Bridge in Cambridge, Vermont, crosses the Seymour River and is significant as the last bridge built in the historic era of covered bridge construction using the Burr arch design, now rare in the state. Built by George W. Holmes in 1897, it originally stood downstream carrying Route 15 and was known as the Little Covered Bridge. After the Seymour River was diverted in 1950, the bridge was moved to the Gates farm to restore access to isolated fields. Neglect later caused serious deterioration, but restoration in 1995 preserved it. It remains one of only nine surviving Burr truss covered bridges in Vermont.
