Academia Pomeroy Covered Bridge is a historic wooden covered bridge over Tuscarora Creek between Spruce Hill and Beale Townships in Juniata County, Pennsylvania. Built in 1902, it is a single-lane, double-span road bridge and, at 278 feet from portal to portal, the longest remaining covered bridge in Pennsylvania. Based on the Burr truss system developed by Theodore Burr, it stands about a mile east of Tuscarora Academy. Owned by the Juniata County Historical Society since 1962, it was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 as an important example of Pennsylvania’s covered-bridge tradition and of notable bridge engineering.
