Science & Tech
Lehman's, Port Royal Covered Bridge near Port Royal in Turbett Township, Pennsylvania, is a historic covered road bridge built in 1888. Constructed as a Double Burr Arch truss, a type widely used for covered bridges in the state, it measures 107 feet long and features vertical siding below a gable roof with windows at eave level. After suffering damage in Hurricane Agnes in 1972, it was rebuilt in a way that preserved its historic form. Its importance as part of Pennsylvania's surviving covered bridge heritage was formally recognized in 1979 through its listing on the National Register of Historic Places.
