This 19th century kedge anchor was used in moving rafts of logs across the lake to the headwaters of the Muskegon River. It was salvaged from Houghton Lake near The Sportsman's Resort and the Cut River inlet, and it was donated to Denton Township's Trestle Park by Ben and Beatrice Beckman Albert, Beverly Adams, and their families.
