Foxburg Golf Course is the oldest golf course in continuous use in the United States. In 1887, Joseph M. Fox, the first president of the newly formed Foxburg Golf Club, made land available for the course. The course was enlarged from five to nine holes in 1888. In 1924, the Foxburg Country Club purchased the original land it had been leasing.
