Ed Galloway's Totem Pole Park in northeastern Oklahoma is a fourteen-acre folk-art environment created by sculptor and woodcarver Ed Galloway after his retirement in 1937. Its centerpiece, completed in 1948, is a ninety-foot concrete totem pole, described as the world's largest, decorated with about two hundred bas-relief images and set on a turtle at its base. The grounds also include the eleven-sided Fiddle House and smaller totems, animal-shaped furnishings, and other concrete works. Galloway lived and worked there until his death in 1962. After theft, weathering, and neglect, the site was restored in stages and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.
